How we check clinics

What we record about each clinic, how we count them and why we show counts instead of names.

Updated 30 September 2026

What counts as a clinic

We count a clinic in a city only when it performs hair transplant procedures at a location in or near that city. We leave out consult-only rooms where the procedure happens in another city, hair system and wig studios, scalp micropigmentation studios, clinics that only offer non-surgical treatments, overseas clinics with Australian landing pages, and businesses that appear to have closed. Where we could not confirm that a clinic performs procedures locally, we left it out.

What we record

  • Whether the clinic offers FUE, FUT and implanter pen (DHI style) placement.
  • Whether it says a doctor performs or leads the procedure.
  • Whether it advertises a free consultation, and the fee if not.
  • Package or per graft prices that the clinic publishes on its own website, with the date we checked.

We only use prices a clinic publishes itself. We do not estimate prices or copy averages from other websites. Many clinics only quote after an assessment, so some cities have little published price data, and our pages say so.

The numbers, September 2026

We checked 56 clinic locations across 10 of the 16 cities we cover. 54 offer FUE, 14 say they offer FUT and 28 advertise a free consultation. A national clinic group with rooms in several cities is counted once in each city where it performs procedures.

Why we do not publish names

We show counts rather than a directory. When you ask for a callback we match you with one clinic that fits your state, the procedure you want and where you are at, and that clinic calls you. We may receive a fee from that clinic.

Limits

Our counts may miss new clinics or clinics that do not describe their services clearly online. Prices change without notice and "from" or "up to" prices are not quotes. Always confirm the price, who performs each step and what is included with the clinic before you book.
